We are looking for a confident Ward Secretary with a passion for delivering outstanding care, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Harrow working on West Ward.

You'll be working 37.5 hours a week (Monday - Friday).

West Ward is our new 18 bed acute service for men. The service will provide a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission

Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides a recovery focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems. We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and who also have a dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

Your Day-to-Day...
• Provide a high standard of organisational & administrative support
• Prepare reports & other written materials to a high standard
• Keep files & records as required
• Work co-operatively with all other members of the administration team to ensure the department runs smoothly
• Occasional minute taking at meetings & taking notes for meetings as & when required
• Answer the telephone & respond to all enquiries in a friendly, efficient manner.

You are...
• Anadministrator with experience in health care & knowledge of mental health

• Experienced with supporting with administrative duties within a fast-paced hospital environment
• Flexible, organised, able to prioritise workloads, solve problems & make decisions
• Calm under pressure & can work under your own initiative
• A strong written & verbal communicator with an eye for detail and excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Windows & the internet.
