Contracts Manager – Commercial Construction
Location: Bury St Edmunds | Salary: £60-£65k + package

About the Role:
Our client, a leading commercial construction firm renowned for delivering complex, high-quality projects, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to take ownership of contract management across multiple commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.).


  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage variations, claims, and disputes.


  • Work closely with project managers, estimators, and procurement teams to mitigate risks.


  • Maintain detailed records and provide contractual advice to senior management.


  • Support project delivery by identifying potential risks and solutions proactively.


    Ideal Candidate:

    • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within commercial construction.


    • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and industry best practices.


    • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.


    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.


    • Relevant qualifications in construction management, law, or a related field are preferred.
