Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Planner to join our team delivering our HMP Glasgow project.



Location: Glasgow / HMP Glasgow on site

Hours: 42.5 Hours P/W - Monday to Friday



We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role



Our HMP Glasgow project will deliver a £750M flagship modern new-build custodial facility, delivering a secure, energy efficient and high specification prison for 2000 inmates and staff based North East of Glasgow City Centre.



What will you be responsible for?



As Assistant Project Planner, you'll be working with an experienced planning team



Your day to day will include:

-Creating of look ahead programmes, individual trade package programmes.

-Monitor and update progress and undertake regular progress monitoring drop lines.

-Developing ideas to drive improvement and consistency in the timely delivery of our preconstruction preferred bids and our live projects. 

-Supporting project delivery teams to ensure short term goals are well communicated and monitored

-Advise on effect of any project slippage on existing programmes and update accordingly.

-Work closely with Project teams to assist in the production of accurate progress reports.

-Identifying correct logic for construction sequencing



What are we looking for?



This role of Assistant Planner is great for you if you can demonstrate the following:

-Relevant construction or engineering qualification (HND or equivalent minimum level)

-You will be comfortable using planning software - Asta Powerproject as well Microsoft Office (Word, Excell, PowerPoint)

-Will have experience in planning, site management or engineering with a main contractor delivering construction projects, informing baseline construction knowledge across relevant work packages

-Excellent communication skills, able to work across teams in an advisory capacity and collaborate across departments.

-Keen eye for detail, highly organised and able to work to deadlines

-Driving license
