Summary
The role will consist of:
- Planning and delivering drama workshops, clubs and groups for children and young people with High-functioning Autism (HFA), Asperger's Syndrome and/or related difficulties
- Teaching students skills relevant to social communication through drama
- Supporting evaluation of service
Skills, experience and training:
Essential:
- Experience running workshops or groups for children and young people
- Ability to tailor activities to suit our clients needs
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Encouraging and non-judgemental nature
- Good communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in supporting children and young people with a diagnosis of ASC or related difficulties
- Awareness of safeguarding
- Awareness of all teaching and learning aspects related to Special Education Needs
When and Where:
The groups run in various venues in Bristol. Each session will run for 1 or 2 hours, depending on needs, mostly on Saturdays (term only)
