The Head of Digital Development and Innovation will provide operational leadership for the integration of digital technologies to
enhance teaching, learning, assessment, and administrative efficiency across the college. This new role is crucial in driving the
College's digital transformation agenda, ensuring staff and students are digitally literate and that the College’s digital
ecosystem supports exceptional educational outcomes. The postholder will have the opportunity to shape the development of this key
area.
About the role:
As the Head of Digital Development and Innovation you will have the enthusiasm and drive to deliver the college’s digital
transformation agenda. Your role will include:
* Work collaboratively with the IT services and MIS departments to embed digital capabilities across college, ensuring a
consistent and high-quality digital experience for all staff and students.
* To develop the college AI capability in a safe and sustainable way to aid teaching, learning and management processes
* To integrate learning technologies for online courses and distance learning.
* Collaborate with curriculum managers and teaching staff to identify and develop digital solutions for teaching and learning
such as online learning platforms, virtual reality packages, digital portfolios.
* Manage the systems development digital support team
To fulfil the role of Digital & Computing Lecturer you will have:
* Extensive knowledge and experience of Digital. IT and MIS processes within the FE sector.
* Knowledge of the use and integration of Power BI
* Knowledge of emerging technologies like Generative AI and their application in TLA.
* Expert knowledge of educational technology, VLEs (Google classroom Canvas, Blackboard), and digital content creation tools.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing digital strategies within an education setting (FE/HE).
