Summary
Location: Ponteland, Northumberland
⏰ Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Driver Preferred: Must feel confident driving daughter’s wheelchair accessible vehicle
Training: Previous experience in a care setting desired but not essential as full training will be provided.
✨ Personal Carer for 15-Year-Old Girl with Cerebral Palsy ✨
We are looking for a caring, reliable and patient Personal Carer to support our 15-year-old daughter, who has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user. This is a rewarding role supporting her daily routine, independence, and overall wellbeing.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Helping with personal care
Supporting mobility and transfers
Helping with daily activities and routines
Offering companionship and encouragement
Accompanying her to appointments, activities, or outings (driver preferred)
Working in a small team and alongside parents
Attending hospital appointments alongside parents or other care staff
Some light household cleaning
Laundry
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Kind, patient and trustworthy
Confident working with young people
Willing to learn and follow care plans
Reliable with good communication skills
Happy to work as part of a family-centred support team
Able to be fun and creative
