Summary

Town Centre Attendant
Salary £25,218 – Pay Scale 3

We are looking for a dedicated Town Centre Attendant to join our busy Street Cleansing team in Beeston Town Centre. This is a key role in keeping the town centre clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Main Duties

• Litter picking and emptying street bins in and around the town centre.
• Maintaining, cleansing, and opening/closing public toilets.
• Carrying out physical tasks such as manual sweeping, walking long distances, lifting bags from street bins, and manoeuvring the town centre barrow.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to undertake physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent customer care skills – you will be a visible presence in the town centre.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to work closely with the Street Cleansing team

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Hours: Tuesday – Saturday
• Tuesday–Friday: 08:30 – 16:30
• Saturday: 08:30 – 16:00

Successful applicants will be entitled to 28 days’ holiday (31 after 5 years) in addition to UK Public Bank holidays. As a valuable part of the Council`s pay and reward package employees are able to join The Local Government Pension Scheme
