What skills and experience we're looking for
Hurdsfield Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated, caring and supportive Teaching Assistant with SEN support within our school's Nursery. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual, who inspires children to have a love of learning. It is essential that they are sensitive to the needs and abilities of our pupils, while ensuring that each pupil is appropriately challenged to achieve their full potential. We are looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion and will ideally have experience of supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including working with specific children or as part of a small group as required. The successful candidate must have the ability to work as part of a team, be flexible, be resilient and be willing to engage in all aspects of school life.
What the school offers its staff
At Hurdsfield Primary we offer a dedicated and supportive team of staff within the school itself and across the Aspire Educational Trust. We also offer a stimulating work environment and comprehensive professional development opportunities.
Commitment to safeguarding
The safeguarding of all our children is the highest priority. We are committed to providing a secure environment for children where they feel safe and are kept safe. As a school we recognise that safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children is everyone's responsibility, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent and effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support children, families and staff at school. We ensure our practice adheres to 'Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025' statutory guidance for schools and college and safer recruitment.
