The Decontamination and Sterile Services Quality Manager is a senior, specialist position within the Clinical Support Division at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across the Decontamination and Sterile Services Departments at both Chelsea & Westminster and West Middlesex Hospital sites.
The postholder will provide expert leadership in all aspects of quality management within the decontamination and sterile services function. This includes the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of robust quality management systems, ensuring full alignment with ISO 13485 and other relevant regulatory standards. The Quality Manager will be expected to work independently and unsupervised in all areas of the specialty, applying advanced technical and scientific judgement to guarantee safe, effective, and compliant service delivery at all times.
This role is critical to the Trust’s ability to deliver world-class patient care, as decontamination and sterile services underpin the safe operation of theatres, wards, and clinical departments. The Quality Manager will be a key figure in maintaining the Trust’s reputation for excellence, supporting its strategic objectives, and ensuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
