Summary

Welding Inspector (CSWIP)

Location: Rosyth
Salary: Competitive

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced Welding Inspectors to join a growing team on an initial 6 month contract.

This role is ideal for a skilled welder or inspector who is passionate about quality, safety, and ensuring work meets the highest industry standards.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, and brings a proactive, detail-focused approach to supporting welders, quality teams, and wider project stakeholders.

The Role

As a Welding Inspector, you will play a key part in ensuring all welding activities meet required specifications, norms, and safety expectations. You will support quality and production teams through inspection, verification, and clear communication to keep projects on track and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Verify that welding outputs meet required specifications, standards, and schedules

Communicate performance expectations to welders when needed

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maximise efficiency and quality

Support and enforce production, safety, and quality procedures

Ensure all welding meets specified requirements before formal inspections take place

Confirm welded materials and consumables comply with relevant specifications

Assist Quality Control teams with surveillance and inspection activities


Essential Experience & Qualifications

Time-served, qualified/coded MAG/TIG welder with thin-gauge steel experience

Previous experience in a supervisory, lead, or inspection role

Good IT literacy

Recognised technical qualification - CSWIP 3.1 as minimum

Gold passport or equivalent

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

Welding experience in a sheet-metal manufacturing environment

Experience working within a nuclear environment

Pay rates

Std - £39.00 PAYE / £51.63 UMBRELLA - Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 17:00 (37 per week)

O/T1 - £58.50 PAYE / £75.42 UMBRELLA - Mid-week 17:00 - 19:30, Friday and Saturday.

O/T2 - £78.00 PAYE / £100.55 UMBRELLA - Sundays
