The Head of Data is a pivotal leadership role within the Information and Performance department, responsible for ensuring the Trust excels as a data-driven organisation. The post holder will: Oversee day-to-day management of the CPFT data warehouse, including data extraction, transformation, and loading from diverse sources, while maintaining robust security and data integrity. Lead the development of the data warehouse in line with the Data, Digital and Technology Strategy, integrating new data sources and advancing analytical capabilities, including the adoption of emerging technologies such as cloud solutions and artificial intelligence. Provide assurance on data quality, manage change control, and support audit and security testing. Develop and quality assure applications for data integration, using the most appropriate tools available. Collaborate closely with clinical leaders and other departments to identify development opportunities and provide technical leadership on solutions. Produce and deliver transparent, consistent reporting outputs, from simple extracts to complex analyses and visualisations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Manage and develop the business intelligence team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a customer-focused, collaborative culture. Support research initiatives, service evaluation, and the implementation of best practices, keeping abreast of national developments and policies. Ensure all activities are conducted in line with Trust values, policies, and the highest standards of confidentiality, equality, and diversity.
