We’re looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our Finance team and take ownership of tax compliancy and reporting across the Brewers Group, playing a vital part in influencing tax strategies across our diverse and growing business.This is a generalist Tax Management role that requires someone to take responsibility for managing UK VAT and corporation tax processes, overseeing indirect tax compliance globally, supporting US Federal and State tax returns and monitoring Nexus triggers.You will be pivotal in developing tax planning strategies, advising on tax implications of business decisions and acting as the primary contact for HMRC and international tax authorities. You will be conversant in establishing robust tax policies and controls, monitoring legislative changes and providing strategic tax advice that aligns with our business objectives.As part of a wider collaborative team, you will work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the business.Key responsibilities include:Ensuring compliance with UK and international tax laws and filing requirementsManaging UK VAT and supporting corporation tax processesOverseeing indirect tax compliance in international territories, including US sales tax and VAT returns in Jersey, Australia and New ZealandSupporting US Federal & State tax returns and monitoring Nexus triggers for US StatesDeveloping tax planning strategies to optimise efficiency and identify savingsActing as the first point of contact for HMRC and international tax authoritiesAdvising on tax implications of business decisions and monitoring legislative changesBuilding robust tax policies and controls to support compliance and risk managementWhat are we looking for?Qualified CTA or equivalent with in-depth knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirementsStrong understanding and demonstrable experience of corporate tax, VAT, employment tax, and international taxProven experience providing strategic tax advice aligned with business objectivesIn depth functional knowledge of tax laws, regulations and compliancyExcellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple processes and deadlinesDeveloped analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate data for insight and reportingProficiency in MS Office, in particular with Excel, Word and PowerPointWhat do we give in return?We think we have an amazing culture of looking out for each other and helping one another succeed and has stood us well for over 120 years!
