About the role
The Peninsula Clinical Trials Unit (PenCTU), based at the University of Plymouth’s attractive North Campus, is seeking an experienced Data Manager to join our dedicated data management team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) registered Clinical Trials Unit, supporting high-quality clinical trials and research studies.
About the Role:
As a Data Manager, you will take responsibility for the data management of specific clinical trials and well-designed studies from set-up through to closure and analysis. Your key duties will include:
• Designing and testing trial-specific databases
• Collecting, computerising, and validating data
• Supervising data management staff
• Ensuring data quality and completeness
• Preparing datasets for statistical analysis
You will lead the delivery of a customer-focused, cost-effective, and efficient data management service, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
About You:
• Proven experience in data management, ideally within interventional trials
• Knowledge of legislation, regulatory, and governance requirements for clinical trials
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively
