Job title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: Subject to clearance/ ASAP
Salary: £37,000 - £45,000 Per Annum + Car Allowance + Expenses Paid when onsite + Benefits
Location: Heysham/Remote Working
Hours of work: 37 Hours Per Week - 3 Days per month required onsite
The main purpose of the role is the provision of project and technical services in support of all aspects of the Company's business and fulfil specific contracts including control of costs, programme and manpower to contract requirements. You will provide internal engineering and technical support to all departments within the company.
Main Responsibilities will include:
*You will communicate effectively and work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients.
* You will carry out projects and tasks as allocated where SQEP.
* You will provide support and technical assistance where SQEP.
* You will assist in workload forecasting and manpower planning.
* You will ensure the scope of projects is delivered on time and on budget whilst maintaining a focus on quality throughout.
* You will author and verify technical reports for both internal and external purposes.
* You will produce technical proposals in support of contracts and tenders.
* You will review existing applications and recommend technical improvements
* You will ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Management Systems.
* You will assist less experienced colleagues in ensuring compliance with pre-defined standards.
* You will liaise with suppliers, clients and regulators.
* You will lead projects with increased complexity and scope
* You will verify systems, study and recommend techniques to improve and/ or cost reduce existing products/ processes
* You will create specifications associated drawings, and procedural specifications to provide the required technical information necessary
Experience/Qualifications:
* All candidates MUST hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
* All candidates MUST have between 3-5 Years hands on proven experience
* Ability to work cross functionally with a team both technically and non-technically
* Experience of working within the Nuclear industry or other Highly regulated industries
* Experience in managing multiple parallel projects
* Experience of regulatory processes as applied to operational process plant and construction sites
* All candidates MUST be able to write technical reports to a good standard of English
* All candidates MUST have excellent communication skills
