We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) to work within our established team of committed SLT's and Assistant SLT's.
The post holder will assist in delivering high quality services to adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across Northumberland and North Tyneside.

The post holder will have the opportunity to work with clients presenting with a range of acquired aetiologies including stroke, dementia, neurological conditions and respiratory conditions . You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients on your caseload.
The post is suitable for a new graduate seeking experience in adult work. The post forms part of our highly successful band 5 rotation scheme, allowing experience in a variety of settings and with a number of client groups.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, covering one of the largest geographical areas of any NHS trust in the country. To develop / improve / maintain / manage communication / swallowing / feeding skills of adults in a given location, through direct intervention, liaison and joint working with other staff and carers and across agencies, to maximise their potential, reduce risk and enable their maximum participation and integration into society.
To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
