Machine Operative
£13.45ph - £14.22ph + Overtime opportunity
Temporary with the potential to become Permanent.
Grantham
Due to expansion our client located in Grantham are looking for a Machine Operative ideally with a counterbalance forklift licence and CNC experience. This is to join their small and friendly team on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
Machine Operative duties within this position will include: -
Operate and support the setup of cutting equipment, which may include:
• Panel saws, vertical and horizontal band saws, beam saws, NC routers or CNC saws
• Loading and securing sheets/blocks safely
• Read cutting lists, job cards, and production orders.
• Use vernier callipers, micrometres, squares, and gauges.
• Record measurements on job cards or digital systems.
To be considered for the machine operative role you will preferably have experience in a workshop, manufacturing, plastic fabrication, CNC, machine operative, woodworking / carpentry or cutting environment as well as: -
• Comfort using production machinery.
• Ability to read measurements, cutting lists, and simple technical drawings.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• CNC or laser cutting experience.
• Forklift truck licence Counterbalance (valid UK).
Hours: Mon to Fri - 6am to 2pm one week and 2pm to 10pm shifts the following week, rotating weekly
