Recruitment Advisor
Hull
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (open to job share or part time appointment).
Salary: £27,838 FTE per annum.
Annual Leave: 31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)
Reporting to the Business Development Team Leader the role of Recruitment Advisor is to support students to move towards employment and to provide high-quality information, advice and guidance to support their individual needs whilst promoting the full range of Hull College’s products and services. You will proactively build relationships and ensure that all students have a first-class customer service experience.
The post holder will be responsible for student engagement activities through the recruitment on-boarding process onto a range of college programmes and opportunities including, but not limited to, apprenticeships, CDF/T Level industry placements, study programme work experience, HE work placements and adult programmes where necessary.
The post holder will champion student engagement across the college and lead in the building of relationships providing high-quality information, advice and guidance ensuring students are fully supported with career progression and next steps that meets their aspirations.

Responsibilities of our Recruitment Advisor:
Deliver outstanding customer service to all stakeholders and act as the initial point of contact for all new and existing students relevant to the role.
Achieve apprenticeship recruitment and work placement targets as well as other KPIs as agreed with the Head of Employer Engagement in line with the colleges strategic plan.
Have a creative approach to engaging with new and existing students.
Be responsible for a caseload of students providing apprenticeship or work placement / work experience routes into employment and address their needs based upon their individual career choices.
Maintain regular contact with all potential new or existing students to ensure the participation in programmes.
Support students with employability and soft skills including CV writing, interview techniques, skill checks and digital skills.
Ensure all aspects of the onboarding learner journey is fulfilled and accurate records are kept
Work collaboratively across the college to support students across a range of areas including but not limited to, apprenticeships, technical qualifications, study programme work experience, adult programmes and HE offer.
Be aware of market intelligence to inform student engagement and marketing strategies.
Ensure compliant maintenance of the CRM systems ensuring the upkeep of activity is logged and recorded as instructed by the work related lead.
Maintain regular contact with Employer Engagement Managers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and to identify new opportunities.
Manage incoming enquiries through phone or email to provide efficient student and employer responsive services.
Ensure the highest standards of compliancy and accuracy in all administrative work in line with policies and procedures
Contribute to student engagement events to support the college’s strategic objectives and enhance the colleges external image/reputation.
Be accountable for supporting a culture of continuous improvement, which delivers agreed quality standards across the student experience understanding how this impact on learner recruitment, attendance, retention, achievement and progression.
What we’re looking for in our Recruitment Advisor:
Relevant professional/vocational qualification in Customer Service
Evidence of commitment to personal development and continuing improvement
Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English
3 years’ experience within a customer service role
Experience of completing face to face or phone interviews
Experience of working in an educational setting
Knowledge of apprenticeships and further education routes
High levels of data analysis
Strong knowledge of CMR systems & usage
Knowledge of FE/HE products
Excellent interpersonal skills including confidentially and attention to detail
