Professional development is important to us and we have varied CPD opportunities within the service, the wider Trust, and external opportunities. This is supported by robust supervision and appraisal structure. We want to provide staff with high quality training to meet needs and ensure that we are offering the best possible interventions to the populations we serve. The Clinical Health Psychology Team has good relationships with local Clinical Psychology doctorate courses. The team contributes to teaching and provide placements for trainees at different stages of training.We work closely with the other psychology services in Essex and Hertfordshire and have regular meetings to provide cohesiveness and support service development as a wider Clinical Health Service. This has allowed us to develop cross specialty groups and be able to share skills and knowledge, driving our services forward.
