The Package
• Permanent contract
• 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Salary of £30,982 per annum
• Minimum of 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

The Role – Young People's Project Officer
We are looking for a hard-working individual, with the ability to identify ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) amongst young care leavers. The Young People's Project Officer will develop a holistic, bespoke person-centred support plan for each care leaver, to encourage positive outcomes and reduce the risk of homelessness.
You will be responsible for providing a specialist, progressive and professional customer focussed floating support service for up to 15 young people leaving care aged 16 – 25; to advise and assist in accordance with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014.
Our Requirements – Young People's Project Officer
• Understanding of Safeguarding Principals and Practice related to children and young people
• Understanding of local specialist agencies connected to vulnerable young people e.g., drug and alcohol, mental health services etc
• Understanding of homelessness and homelessness prevention
• Demonstrable experience of working in a client centred environment
• Demonstrable experience of responding to incidents within a housing or similar environment
• Developed written and verbal communication skills
• Developed partnership working skills
• Willingness to provide out of hours, on call cover on a rota basis
• Full UK drivers’ licence with access to own transport
• Fluent in Welsh
• An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role
