Avalon Group is opening a brand-new supported living service in the heart of Harrogate, and we’re looking for caring, motivated people to join us on this exciting journey. This is a brilliant opportunity to help shape a new service from day one, supporting people with learning disabilities, autistic people and individuals with mental health needs to live truly fulfilling, gloriously ordinary lives.

About the role
As a Support Worker, you will:
• Work alongside people to achieve their goals, build confidence and develop daily living skills
• Support people with personal care, medication, emotional wellbeing and routines that promote independence
• Build meaningful relationships and create a warm, supportive home environment
• Enable people to access their community, try new things and take positive steps in their lives
• Work collaboratively with families, professionals and your team
• Play a vital role in shaping a brand-new supported living service based on excellent practice
Every day will be purposeful, varied and centred around what matters to the person.

You don’t need previous experience — just kindness, reliability and the desire to make a difference. Full training and ongoing development will be provided.
You’ll be a great fit if you are:
• Compassionate, patient and a good communicator
• Someone who believes in inclusion and people’s right to live their best lives
• Able to work flexibly (some evenings/weekends)
• Keen to learn and grow within a supportive team
• Passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs
