Summary

Subsea Controls Electronics / Electrical Engineer required to work on the design, development and supply of products and services for subsea control and distribution to offshore oil and gas clients.

Skills and experience
Office-based electronics or electrical engineering experience of subsea controls.
Experience with the design and operation of Production Control Systems.
Concept design, detailed design and engineering delivery of electronics control systems.
PCB design and layout.
Experience with the introduction of new products from concept through to design and delivery ideally:
Subsea Electronic Modules.
Subsea Communications Profibus, Canbus, Modbus or Ethernet protocols.
DC or AC power distribution, low (240 V), medium (600 V) or high (1000 V) voltage units.
Subsea Power and Communication Units.
Electrical Test Unit and Master Control Station experience.


Responsibilities
Own and engineer the package from function design specification to design, engineering, manufacturing and testing.
Working closely with the New Product Initiative Team to support the delivery of NPI programs and assisting in defining the technology gaps to drive future NPI alignment.
Generating specifications, test procedures, operating manuals and other technical documentation required for project deliverables.
Ensuring and verifying technical compliance of products with specification, codes, standards, and client technical requirements.
Ensuring that the product design conforms to field proven or qualified technologies.
Oversee manufacturing, delivery and repair work, product testing and commissioning including electrical fault diagnostics, IR, TDR and oscilloscope for tests, installation and commissioning.
