Summary
We want to make sure we have the right people in place to support our growth and we are now looking for a bright and enthusiastic Trainer to join our Distribution team based at Thanet Earth in Birchington, Kent.
Providing strong leadership, motivating and supporting a team of Multi-Skilled Operatives (MSO’s) to achieve outstanding service levels, delivering productivity targets whilst prioritising and maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety in a dynamic fast paced environment.
Other responsibilities include:
Ensuring strict conformance to all Health & Safety procedures.
Training new starters and conduct refresher training on MHE power pallet and counter-balance trucks.
Providing training and refresher training on Standard Operating Procedures.
Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all aspects of the MSO role.
When necessary, providing cover for Section Leaders.
Leading by example to maintain the highest standards of safety, service, and efficiency.
Increasing employee retention by investment in individuals.
Act as a coach positively reinforcing safe driving behaviours undertaking regular observation and annual competency testing.
Key accountabilities
Relevant PPT training qualification preferred. (MHE/ITSSAR).
Proven experience in a training role.
Good knowledge of LOLER and PUWER.
Good knowledge of Health & Safety.
Warehouse operational knowledge and good understanding of operational requirements.
Excellent spoken, written communication and listening skills.

You will be coaching and supporting the team with all daily tasks and carrying out regular competency assessments to ensure high quality delivery. You will lead by example in maintaining the highest standards of safety, service and efficiency, playing a key role in our continuous improvement programme.”
Working hours:
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm. There may be some requirement to work outside of these hours to meet business demands.
Due to our remote location and limited public transportation options, candidates must have their own means of transport for daily commuting.
