Summary
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Surveyor to assess and record the condition of residential properties. The role involves conducting surveys of flats and houses, identifying maintenance and repair requirements, and producing accurate survey reports. Payment will be on a per-property basis:
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough condition surveys of residential properties, including flats and houses.
Identify defects, maintenance issues, and potential health & safety concerns.
Record and report property conditions accurately using company templates or software.
Assess building elements including roofs, walls, windows, doors, plumbing, electrics, and heating systems.
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Ensure surveys are completed efficiently within agreed deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in property surveying, building inspections, or stock condition surveys.
Knowledge of construction materials, building systems, and maintenance practices.
Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
Proficiency in using mobile devices, tablets, and survey software.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driving license and access to a vehicle (if travel between properties is required).
Desirable:
RICS or CIOB qualifications (or working towards).
Experience with social housing stock or local authority property surveys.
Health & Safety awareness (CSCS card preferred).
Working Conditions:
Flexible working schedule; surveys may be conducted across multiple locations.
Payment is made per completed property: Negotiated
