We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist Assistant to to support the delivery of speech, language, and communication interventions for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with speech, language and communication needs.
Key responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with speech, language and communication needs.
Support children in developing vocabulary, social communication and expressive/receptive language.
Adapt activities and resources to ensure inclusive access to learning.
Track and record pupil progress and contribute to support plans.
Create and adapt visual aids, communication boards and therapy materials to meet pupils' needs.
Pay range:
NJC19-23 - £28,198.53 - £30,285.65. FTE £32,061.00 - £34,434.00. 37 hrs per week, 39 weeks per year
Qualifications and Skills:
GCSE Maths and English 4 or above (or equivalent)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Be energetic, enthusiastic and a strong team player
Be able to relate to all students, staff and parents from a variety of ages, abilities and backgrounds in a positive and constructive way.
