Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window/Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in installation, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves working with various materials (UPVC, Ali, composite) and tools to ensure high-quality installations that meet our clients' specifications. A commitment to safety and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Install windows and doors according to specifications and building codes.
Read and interpret schematics to determine installation requirements.
Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
Fabricate components as needed for custom installations.
Ensure proper sealing and insulation of installed products to enhance energy efficiency.
Perform masonry work as required for installation, including repairing or modifying existing structures.
Conduct regular checks on installed products for quality assurance and functionality.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and roofers, to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience in window and door installation or a related field is preferred.
Strong skills in building, carpentry, masonry, welding, plastering, and plumbing are advantageous.
Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively is essential.
Able to quote and survey accurately and confidently is a bonus
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
A valid driver's license required for travel to job sites- this will be checked.
References will be needed and checked.
