Summary

Reporting to and assisting the Finance Business partner in the provision of annual divisional budgets, monthly financial management reports as well as looking after cost centres in a clinical area. You will also work closely with colleagues in HR, Commissioning, Operational managers/budget holders, Information and other stake holders on issues that impact on expenditure.
Applicants should be in the first stages of your CCAB qualification, preferable with NHS experience. You should have excellent technical and interpersonal skills especially Microsoft Excel with proven ability to analyse complex data and transform into meaningful reports. You must also have an eye for detail and be able to prioritise and manage workload to deadlines.
Maintain a high standard of financial work when carrying out month end and BAU duties. Develop a close working relationship with the Finance Business Partner and ensure that they are fully briefed on all finance issues in the division. To aid in the provision of robust monthly budgetary reports including cost centre reports to the division’s budget holders within agreed timescales. This will include making all necessary accruals, prepayments, budgetary changes and other financial adjustments as instructed by the Finance Business Partner. To assist in the production of a monthly performance pack for the divisional meeting, including narrative reports explaining key issues and reasons for budgetary variances, a forecast out-turn, temporary staffing expenditure analysis and CIP’s progress. Perform any other duties as required by the Finance Business Partner. Ensure compliance with our financial governance framework, you will motivate colleagues and drive continuous improvement.
