Boston College is looking to recruit an Assessor in Early Years. As an Assessor you will be responsible for agreeing learning aims/outcomes taking into account competence of the learner and their individual needs. Delivery of evening workshops will also form part of the role.
This is a great opportunity for someone with proven experience of working within an Early Years setting to share their skills and knowledge with support staff that are either new to an Early Years setting or developing their career opportunities. An assessor supports practitioners within Early Years settings to complete either a level 2 or level 3 Early Years qualification.
Taking responsibility for your own caseload of learners, you will carry out regular assessments against the qualification using a variety of assessment methods and ensuring quality and credibility. You will provide guidance and monitoring in accordance with quality procedures and awarding body standards and produce action plans to include the plan and programmes of assessment, feedback and timescale for delivery. You will be based at the main campus in Boston, however as part of the role you would also be required to work from our campus in Spalding as well as traveling to settings across the local area to meet with learners and employers.
You will have excellent organisation and communication skills and be able to work on own initiative. You must hold a foundation degree or degree relevant in Early Years You must have proven experience of working within an Early Years setting. Preferably you will be qualified or working towards an Assessors and/or Internal Verifiers qualification.
