Summary

About the role

Are you passionate about data and eager to make an impact?

We are looking for an experienced data engineer to help us get the most out of our data at the TRA. Our investigations into unfair trade practices require and generate a significant amount of varied data. We would like you to help the TRA to make sense and make use of that data.

You will help the TRA set-up our data engineering function by defining our data engineering best practices.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a complex data environment to design, build, and deliver high performance, secure, scalable data solutions - adapting and developing our CI/CD and DevOps working practices.

You will also work together with Digital & Technology colleagues to evolve how the TRA works with Digital and Data, delivering digital products and services for the organisation.

You will be based within the Data & Monitoring unit within Analysis & Verification Directorate.

Key accountabilities

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Lead, collaborate and develop data infrastructure solutions at the TRA;
  • Extract and integrate data from across the organisation into existing and new workflows to allow the TRA to get the most out of its data;
  • Build trusted relationships with colleagues within case teams and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with them to develop TRA data standards and capability;
  • Be able to bring in, work with, and manage 3rd party suppliers to support our digital, data, and AI objectives.
  • Provide TRA teams with professional support through upskilling teams to get the most out of our data;
  • Collaborate with broader DDaT functions to develop products and services for use across the TRA;
  • Manage and lead your team and the broader TRA in delivering your team’s and broader organisation’s objectives.
