Summary

Calderdale College is seeking to recruit an exceptional, appropriately qualified, and experienced individual to join our University Centre team, specialising in Access to Higher Education in the Health area.


The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of programmes across our suite of qualifications, with the primary focus on teaching and assessment within the Level 3 Access to HE Health course. Additional responsibilities may include delivery of Access to HE Social Sciences and other Level 3–5 Health and Social Care qualifications.


We are looking for a high-performing and focused individual, with the ambition and drive to deliver and achieve challenging targets.


Main Purpose of the Role


Work as part of the University Centre, Calderdale College team to design, develop, and deliver courses that enhance students’ capabilities to access Higher Education and progress into health-related professions.
Teach biology-based subjects such as Human Reproduction and the Cardiovascular System.
Ensure timely and effective quality assurance of provision in line with awarding body standards.

Candidate Requirements


Vocational experience in health and social care.
Strong academic and professional qualifications relevant to the health sector.
Enthusiasm and proven success in previous teaching or professional roles.
Ability to role model consistent high performance, influence, and motivate students.
Solutions-oriented, innovative, and determined to achieve success in all aspects of the role.
