Job Introduction

Join our dedicated catering team atBirds Eye, Lowestoft as a Kitchen Assistant, where you’ll play avital role in preparing, presenting, and serving food and beverages to thehighest standards. With a focus on delivering outstanding customer service andensuring smoothoperations, you’ll help create a positive dining experienceevery time. The role also involves periods of independent working, soconfidence in managing tasks alone while maintaining exceptional safety,hygiene, and service standards is essential.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages, consistently maintaining the highest standards.
  • Provide friendly, efficient customer service, including counter service and till operation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment across all equipment, service areas, and dining spaces.
  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks, restock vending machines, and ensure service areas are always fully supplied.
  • Check and receive deliveries, accurately record food temperatures, and follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Take part in training and carry out additional duties as required to support the smooth running of the catering operation.
  • Assist with transportation of goods when required to other areas of site

What you bring:

  • Clean Drivers License
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner.
  • Strong focus on safety, with consistently high standards of personal hygiene and presentation.
  • Flexible, reliable, and positive, with the ability to adapt to varying shifts and tasks.
  • Experience using tills and electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) systems (desirable).
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene, safe food handling practices, and COSHH principles (desirable).
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and confidently use basic computer systems (desirable).
