We are seeking a professional and courteous Switchboard Operator to join our team. You will manage incoming and outgoing communications, ensuring a polite, efficient, and responsive service within Trust premises.
In this role, you will support the smooth running of the switchboard, carrying out all duties in line with health, safety, security, Company, and Trust policies. The role may involve sensitive situations, so discretion, reliability, and a calm, confident approach are essential.

The Role
Answer calls and face-to-face queries promptly, directing callers and visitors appropriately, and complete necessary records.
Operate bleep and radio systems, including programming, testing, and issuing equipment.
Support smooth department operations by maintaining contact lists, on-call info, and issuing/recovering ID cards or keys.
Ensure calls and tasks are assigned and completed in line with Company and Trust policies.
Follow procedures for emergencies, including fire, bomb threat, cardiac arrest, and other alerts.
Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and dignity at all times.
Conduct yourself professionally on Trust and Company premises.
Maintain a neat appearance, comply with uniform standards, and uphold high personal hygiene.
Participate in meetings, training, performance reviews, and investigations as required.
About You
Good communication and clerical skills are essential.
Be reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Able to work well under pressure.
Previous experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
