Are you looking for a fulfilling role in a vital service? We are seeking a full-time Switchboard Operator to join the team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.​

In this role, you will play a crucial part in connecting callers to the appropriate departments. You will handle approximately 3,000 calls per day, assisting both internal and external enquiries, including emergency calls.

The Role

Answer internal and external calls within agreed KPI and SLA standards.

Provide efficient, courteous, and helpful support to all callers.

Operate the internal bleep/paging system.

Proactively maintain the hospital personnel, department, and telephone database.

Perform clerical duties as needed to ensure the smooth running of the service and assist in training new staff when required.

Work public and bank holidays as scheduled, as the department operates 24/7, 365 days a year.

About You

Good communication and clerical skills are essential.

Be reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Able to work well under pressure.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
