Location: Edinburgh

Salary: £80,000 - £95,000

Hours: Full time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity:

We're looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead the growth strategy and delivery of initiatives that drive mobile app downloads and adoption for the Scottish Widows app and support prioritising and leading initiatives in partnership with brand and marketing colleagues. This is a pivotal role in accelerating our digital growth and ensuring customers choose the Scottish Widows App as their primary channel for engagement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Growth Strategy Leadership - Define and execute a clear strategy to increase App downloads and active usage, aligned with Group digital objectives.

  • Roadmap Ownership - Develop and manage a roadmap of initiatives focused on acquisition, activation, and engagement, prioritising based on impact and Return on Investment (ROI).

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with marketing, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver integrated campaigns and optimised journeys that drive downloads.

  • Customer Insight & Experimentation - Use data, research, and A/B testing to identify barriers to adoption and continuously improve conversion rates.

  • Proposition Development - Shape compelling value propositions and incentives that encourage customers to download and engage with the app.

  • Performance & Benefits Realisation - Define KPIs (e.g., download volumes, activation rates, retention), monitor performance, and report impact to senior stakeholders.

  • Governance & Compliance - Ensure all initiatives meet regulatory, security, and risk standards.

  • Leadership & Coaching - Line management of a Product Owner, contribute to their development and a culture focused on high-performance and growth

  • Strategic Influence - Ability to shape priorities and secure alignment across multiple business areas and senior leaders.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset - Deep understanding of user behaviour and ability to translate insights into compelling experiences.

We're disability confident. So, if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
