• NBA is located in the L&R Building Southmead Hospital.
• This post offers the opportunity to work in a busy, well-supported undergraduate medical education setting in combination with a service commitment in the NBT Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. • The successful candidate will be involved in organising and delivering undergraduate medical teaching specifically to Year 4 students on the Reproductive Health and Care of the Newborn (RHCN) clerkship of the MB ChB programme. This will include training for and facilitating the innovative Undergraduate PROMPT multiprofessional training day.
• The successful candidate will be expected to become involved with ongoing undergraduate medical education research projects and will have the opportunity to submit abstracts and attend the Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME) conference.
• The post holder will help facilitate the delivery of the University of Bristol undergraduate reproductive health and care of the newborn curriculum to Year 4 medical students on placement at North Bristol Trust (NBT).
• Clinical Teaching Fellows (CTFs) deliver core curriculum content, act as tutors and are involved with the assessment of medical students.
• The post holder will be expected to act as a role model and mentor to the medical students.
• The post holder may be asked to develop teaching materials and enhance learning within the NBT Clinical Skills Lab and Simulation Space.
