The Role

The Assistant Autocentre Manager supports the Autocentre Manager in the day-to-day running of the depot. You will help lead the team, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure efficient workshop scheduling and workflow.

This role combines team leadership, customer interaction, and hands-on operational support. No two days are the same, making this a varied and rewarding position with real opportunity for career development.



Key Responsibilities

Support the Autocentre Manager in leading and motivating the workshop and front-of-house teams.

Help ensure the delivery of excellent customer service at all times.

Assist with workshop scheduling, job flow, and communicating progress to customers.

Provide technical support and product knowledge across tyres, MOTs, servicing, repairs, brakes, and general maintenance.

Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping in the workshop.

Contribute to meeting depot performance targets and KPIs.

Lead by example, representing ETB’s values in professionalism, fairness, and teamwork.

Cover management duties when the Autocentre Manager is away.



Skills & Experience

Required:

Experience in the automotive Service, Maintenance, and Repair sector.

Working knowledge of tyres, brakes, servicing, repairs, and related workshop processes.

Confident communication and customer service skills.

A positive, approachable, team-focused attitude.

Full UK driving licence.

Preferred (but not essential):

Previous experience supervising or leading a team.

Fast-fit or independent garage background.

MOT knowledge or qualifications.
