VETERINARY NURSE (SPECIALISING IN ANAESTHESIA)
Grade 5 £29,588- £33,951 pa
This post is based at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the Leahurst Campus near Neston, Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity to join the anaesthesia team in our busy state-of-the-art-hospital. You will be predominantly based in theatre and diagnostic imaging, providing the delivery of anaesthesia and analgesia to our diverse referral caseload, from Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Dermatology. The nurse will be involved in the range of anaesthesia and analgesia techniques, such as monitoring anaesthesia, locoregional techniques, infusions, and pain scoring. And will be using the state-of-the-art monitoring equipment including, blood gas analysis, intra-arterial (invasive) blood pressure monitoring, capnography and ECG, to ensure the best possible care to our patients.
You will be a qualified Veterinary Nurse with relevant experience in anaesthesia. You must be flexible in shift patterns and you will be required to be on the nursing rota for weekends, Bank holidays and University closed days. The hours of work will be 35 hours week, plus 26 days holiday, pension and addition benefits
