Summary
To act as an independent and semi-autonomous practitioner with freedom to act as the role requires To carry a defined caseload of people receiving specific psychological interventions and act as key worker for them as appropriate To undertake specialised psychological assessment and formulation To work with complex clients as routine if appropriate to the service, with highly complex clients discussed with clinical supervisors, psychologists or line managers To communicate clearly and empathetically with clients, families and carers To communicate formulations and information professionally, sensitively and diplomatically, often in highly emotive situations, to clients, relatives, carers and other healthcare professionals To communicate confidential and highly complex personal information concerning psychological needs, obtained through assessments and interventions, to referring agents and to the client themselves To ensure that risk is assessed and managed in line with Trust policies and procedures To provide evidence-based psychologically informed interventions (individual and group), such as CBT or third-wave CBT interventions, as appropriate to your skills and training To maintain high-quality clinical records in accordance with Trust policy and procedures To offer reflective practice and system support to the MDT and colleagues as appropriate To inform and support families and carers as appropriate to the role To follow a person-focused and evidence-based approach To work in partnership with service users To work in a variety of settings, including the clients own home in the community, hospital, or any setting where their needs are supported and managed Please see the attached Job Description for a full list of duties and responsibilities.
