We are an early-stage digital health startup building a new generation of tools to support people living with gut health conditions, starting with IBS. We are looking for a registered dietitian who is passionate about gut health, innovation, and making real-world impact to join us on a part-time, fully remote basis.
This is a creative, high-impact role where you will help shape how evidence-based gut health care is delivered digitally. You will work closely with the founder and be deeply involved in designing practical, scalable solutions that improve patients’ lives.
What You’ll Do
1. Recipe creation and Meal Plan Supervision
Supervise the creation of low-FODMAP and gut-safe recipes for:
* Elimination phase
* Reintroduction phase
* Anti-inflammatory needs
Ensure all recipes are nutritionally balanced, FODMAP-safe, and clinically appropriate.
2. Support the design of treatments and intervention logic
Help us design gut health treatment interventions based on:
* Academic research
* Clinical guidance and best practice
* Conversations with other dietitians
* Real patient experiences of what actually works
You will be encouraged to bring your own ideas, beliefs, and innovations, not just follow existing templates.
3. Gut Health Assessment & Diagnosis Workflow Design
Help design the clinical workflow for gut health conditions, including:
* Symptom assessment logic
* Red-flag identification
* Escalation pathways
* Investigations, treatment, and intervention steps
All mapped to:
* NICE and professional guidelines
* Evidence-based standards of care
You will play a key role in shaping how patients move safely from symptoms to ongoing support.
Why This Role Is Different
You will help design something from the ground up, not just deliver clinic sessions.
* Your work will help thousands of patients, not just one at a time.
* You will gain first-hand startup and product-design experience.
* You’ll work closely with a startup founder, learning about:
* Entrepreneurship
* Digital health product development
* Commercialisation of clinical expertise
* This is an ideal role if you are:
* Curious about innovation
* Interested in entrepreneurship
* Looking to apply your clinical expertise in new ways
Who We’re Looking For
* Registered Dietitian (BDA UK)
* Trained in IBS and gut health
* Strong interest in Digital health or innovation
* Confident working independently and contributing ideas
* Curious, collaborative, and impact-driven
* Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment
Working Pattern & Setup
* Part-time: ~2 hours per day
* Fully remote: Work from home (must live in and have the right to work in the UK)
* Flexible working hours
Contract or freelance arrangement
Compensation: £35-60 p/hr depending on band and personal skills
