United Response is seeking an experienced and proactive Governance Administration Manager to ensure the Board, Committees and Executive Leadership Team receive high-quality, timely and professional governance support.

As Governance Administration Manager, you will lead the smooth running of United Response’s governance cycle. You’ll coordinate Board and Committee meetings, manage forward planners, prepare and quality-assure papers, and produce high-standard minutes. You will maintain secure, well-organised governance records and ensure effective use of digital governance systems.

You’ll line-manage and develop the Governance Assistant, support Trustees and Executive Directors, and contribute to trustee recruitment and onboarding. You will oversee governance templates, support compliance and assurance processes, and manage the organisation’s policy governance cycle.

You’ll also drive continuous improvement, enhance governance processes and systems, and support wider governance projects and organisational initiatives.

What skills you will bring:

Essential: We are looking for candidates with relevant administrative or governance experience or equivalent training.

Desirable: Governance or company secretarial qualifications (e.g., ICSA/CGI Certificate), leadership or management qualifications (e.g., ILM), or further study in governance, regulation, policy, or compliance.
