We are looking for an Event Executive to join our successful Marketing team. This role is home based, with travel required to our Kirkham (Lancashire) head office.

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised Events Executive to support our events channel within the Group Marketing function. In this role, you will be central to delivering our presence at key conferences and coordinating company-hosted events that are promoted both internally and externally in line with the Group marketing plan.

You will be responsible for creating and distributing event collateral, developing event communication plans, coordinating speaker content, and hosting attendee briefings. The role also involves working closely with suppliers, partners, and sponsors to ensure brand consistency, integrity, and relevance across all marketing, partnership, and event-related activities.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Effectively plan and deliver the organisation’s presence at conferences and events, including company-hosted activities such as forums, seminars, and webinars.
  • Measure event performance against defined objectives, manage post-event follow-up, and compile data for month-end reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop event content, collateral, and presentations.
  • Support new business development through partnerships, event sponsorships, and ambassadorships. evidence for bids and proposals.
  • Execute internal and external communications and promotional activities aligned with the events plan and Group marketing strategy.
  • Proactively research market, industry, and government developments to inform event planning and broader marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure a consistent tone of voice and messaging across all communications.
  • Maintain strong engagement with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
  • Provide ongoing support to the wider marketing team, contributing to key initiatives and priorities.
  • Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Essential

  • GCSEs and A-Levels.
  • Marketing / Business / Event Planning Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, within a B2B, PLC or regulated environment
  • Track record in event planning and supporting well-attended events to deliver tangible results
  • Experience in liaising with partners, suppliers and agency resources - strong stakeholder management
  • A team player
  • Positive attitude and unfazed by complex multi-tasking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills – ability to engage stakeholders and effectively network both internally and externally
  • Excellent copywriting skills – able to write persuasively to encourage event attendance on invitation

Desirable

  • Previous knowledge / experience of the energy / utilities industry, sustainability or ESG services industry.
