Summary
We are looking for a skilled, motivated Band 6 chemotherapy nurse for maternity leave cover (Fixed Term/until the 31st August 2025), to join our team in the Macmillan Chemotherapy Day Unit.
We have a maternity cover/fixed term opening for experienced and passionate nurses with chemotherapy training who are eager to contribute to the development of our chemotherapy service. We are seeking individuals who are committed, motivated, and forward-thinking to compliment our existing team and provide exceptional care to our patients.

Working pattern is 08:30 to 18:30 x 4 days a week on a rolling rota

• You will ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility and work as part of the multidisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of a high standard of care to the patients.
You will safely administer chemotherapy and other SACTs in keeping with local and national policy and support patients and carers in their information needs
You will take charge of the day unit in the absence of the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse as required and participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process.
The post holder will always adhere to the NMC code of Professional Conduct and always ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures and act as a positive role model.
You will act as a resource, supporting patients and their carers throughout their chemotherapy journey from pre-treatment consultation, administration of SACT until discharge from chemotherapy day unit. You will liaise effectively with all appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team, in order to promote a seamless service for the patient both within the Trust and with primary care services.
