Summary
☕ Experienced Café Cook / Kitchen Assistant – Immediate Start
Location: Cofton Hackett (B45 8UU)

Lickey Kitchen is looking for an experienced café cook to join our small, friendly team.
If you’ve worked in a traditional café or breakfast kitchen and can confidently cook a full English, we’d love to hear from you.
This role involves cooking breakfasts, using the grill/fryer, preparing simple café dishes, and helping with basic customer service when required.
This role would suit someone looking for 1–2 fixed shifts per week.
Hours (Flexible but Fixed Once Hired)
We will agree your regular weekly days once you join us.
Examples of fixed days could be: every Monday or every Tuesday.
Your pattern will stay the same each week once agreed.
Shifts are usually 8:15am – 2:15pm (around 6 hours).
There may also be:
Occasional Saturday shifts
Extra hours for holiday/sickness cover
Essential Experience (Must Have All)
To apply, you must have:
✔ 1–2 years’ recent experience in a café or breakfast kitchen
(not restaurants, hotels, catering, takeaways, or home cooking)
✔ Strong ability to cook traditional café food:
– full English breakfast
– grill work
– fryers
– toasties, paninis, brunch items
✔ Confidence working independently during quieter periods
✔ Good understanding of food hygiene and safe kitchen practice
✔ Willingness to take phone orders or speak with customers when needed
✔ Comfortable handling and cooking pork products (bacon, sausages, black pudding)
