Summary

Position: Minibus Driver · Pay: £14:00-£15:00 per hour · Contract: annual or term-time potential for up to 25-30 hours a week · Schedule: Monday to Friday ,06:00-09:00 and 17:00 19:00 We are seeking a reliable and skilled Minibus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while driving between locations. As a Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely transportation and maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. This role is essential in providing exceptional service for our pupils. Must have a clean, full driving licence a valid PSV CPC, a Driver Card and a D/D1 license. Meaning there cannot be a 101 next to those categories. Duties Driving set routes, before and after school, to collect and return pupils, ranging from age 13 to 18. Ad hoc driving duties for school trips and fixtures. To provide cover in cases of staff sickness and holiday. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle before departure of each trip to ensure it is in good working order. Can easily learn routes and pick up points. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle. Reporting and logging any faults. Taking care of pupils, ensuring they are seated comfortably, wearing their seat belts and have their luggage stowed appropriately and safely. Driving school minibuses safely, legally, and responsibly. Carrying the school mobile phone for communication with parents when necessary. Qualifications Over 21 years of age. Valid PSV CPC, a Driver Card and a D/D1 license. Meaning there cannot be a 101 next to those categories. . Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification A clean driving record. Experience in a similar role or in an independent school environment. A knowledge of safeguarding practices in an education setting, however training will be provided. Ability to communicate effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A commitment to safety and reliability on the road. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Are friendly, approachable, flexible, and helpful with the ability to establish professional working relationships with colleagues, young people, and children. Can work unsupervised. Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting. Have a willingness to undertake further driver training when required.
