Summary
Location: Robinson Way Depot, Telford Way Industrial Estate, Kettering, NN16 8PP

Pay Rate: £16.35 PAYE / £20.79 Umbrella
Overtime: 1.5x rate for anything over 37 hours
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Tuesday to Friday (4-day week) with optional overtime on Mondays
Shift: 6:30am – 4:30pm
Start Date: 24th November 2025
End Date: 16th January 2026

We are recruiting a 7.5 Tonne Food Pod Driver to support service delivery at the Kettering Depot. This role involves driving a food pod vehicle and physically loading and emptying food pods. If you’re willing to assist with loading, there is regular overtime available.
This role can suit either a 7.5T driver or an HGV driver, as there is potential to be utilised across the wider service.
The Role
Driving a 7.5 tonne food pod vehicle on assigned routes
Loading and emptying food pods as part of daily operations
Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
Reporting defects and issues promptly
Working safely at all times in line with council procedures
Supporting wider fleet operations when required
Essential Requirements
Valid 7.5T licence (C1) – HGV drivers also considered
DVLA web check required
Right to Work in the UK
CV required
Willingness to assist with physical loading
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
No DBS required for this role.
