A residential home in the Borrowash area of Derby are seeking Care Assistants to support them in the daily running of the service.
The Care team specialise in illnesses related to old age, such as Alzheimer’s Disease or physical mobility issues.
As a care assistant you will be a key member of the team in providing high standard of care to the 50 service users.
Your duties will include:
• Providing a high standard of care
• Following individual support plans
• Personal care
• Moving and handling
• Completing company paperwork
• Completing light household duties
This opportunity will be perfect for someone who is naturally kind, caring and compassionate as well as supportive and encouraging. You will need to be a good listener and have patience and understanding.
To apply for this role you must have the following-
- An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
- Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training
- At least 3 months experience within a similar setting
Due to the location of the home, it is recommended that you have access to your own transport.
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
This role offers ongoing flexible working
You will be working from 07:00 to 14:30, with hours available between Monday to Friday.
You will be paid £12.21 per hour, increasing to £13.33 per hour after a settling in period.
