As a Childrens Play and Healthcare Worker, youll join our vibrant care team, supporting a child with health and developmental needs at home, during school transport, and in the community. Youll be there to play, engage, and care not just provide personal support. This role is about creating moments that matter, not just ticking care plans. Shifts and HoursShifts may vary depending on the needs of the children and families. We are looking for someone available for the following patterns, initially around 20 hours per week with the potential to increase: Monday to Saturday: 10:00am 6:00pm Waking Night Shifts: 10 hours per shift Additional shifts may be available depending on training and availability. Flexible options can be discussed with candidates. What Youll Do Use play to connect, support learning, development, and emotional wellbeing Actively contribute to meaningful, fun, and safe experiences Provide high-quality care alongside play, including personal care where needed Build trusted relationships with families and colleagues Think on your feet and adapt to each childs unique world Attend regular team meetings, training, and supervision Keep up-to-date records and contribute to excellent communication across the team Be a true ambassador of Lagans Foundation we are one family Carer Level 2 Role DetailsWho is this for: Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification (or equivalent) Experience supporting children with complex health needs Requirements: Competent in gastrostomy, PEG, controlled epilepsy, oxygen therapy 12+ months paediatric care experience Level 2 internal sign-off Scope of Practice: Deliver care for children with moderatehigh needs Support and mentor Band 1 carers Progression Pathway: Technical: Advance to Band 3 through further skills/qualifications Leadership: Progress to Senior Level 1 What Makes You a Good FitWe hire people, not just qualifications.
