We are partnering with a well-established healthcare organisation that delivers community-based clinical services across multiple NHS contracts. They are seeking a Service Manager to oversee operational performance, service delivery, and financial management across a portfolio of outpatient pathways. About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a number of community clinical services, ensuring they run efficiently and meet all contractual, financial, and quality standards. You will lead teams, improve operational processes, manage budgets, and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to maintain outstanding service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery: Lead and optimise the delivery of community outpatient services, ensuring strong performance and patient experience.

  • Financial Management: Manage service budgets, oversee the P&L, and work with Finance to maintain cost-effective operations.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with clinical staff, commissioners, and partner organisations.

  • Leadership: Provide clear direction to service teams, supporting a positive and motivated working environment.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, manage patient flow and waitlists, and implement improvements where needed.

  • Compliance: Ensure full adherence to NHS standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing operational teams

  • Solid financial understanding including budget and P&L management

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Analytical approach to problem-solving and performance improvement

  • Experience working within healthcare operations (community services or outpatient pathways desirable)

  • Competency using healthcare systems and data tools

Qualifications:

  • Degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience within the NHS)
