Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary (Term Time Only)

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting secondary students with Special Educational Needs?

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our specialist day school near Norwich (NR16 2NZ). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly supportive environment where you can truly make a difference in the lives of young people.

The Role

You will be working with students aged 11 to 16 years who primarily have communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties (such as dyslexia), or may be on the autistic spectrum.

Key Benefits:

  • Small Class Sizes: Maximum of 10 students per class, supported by a minimum of 3 staff at all times.

  • Supportive Team: Work alongside teachers and a full onsite clinical and therapy team.

Key Duties Include:

  • Establishing a warm and supportive relationship with pupils to promote well-being and engagement.

  • Supporting the Class Teacher in the day-to-day running of the classroom and delivering differentiated activities.

  • Promoting independence, personal development, and maintaining high expectations of behaviour.

  • Collaborating effectively within a multi-professional team.

Hourly Rate £12.82 - £13.22 per hour
Hours 40 hours per week
Working Pattern Term Time only
Schedule Mon, Tue, Wed (8:30am - 4:30pm), Thu (8:30am - 5:00pm), Fri (8:30am - 4:00pm)
