Summary

We are working with a leading multi-disciplinary contractor in the rail and civil engineering sector who are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support project delivery across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure works in central Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected, growing business with a strong pipeline of rail, civils, structures, and geotechnical projects.

As Sub Agent, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of projects, supporting the Site Agent in managing site operations, ensuring compliance, and driving high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Within this role your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of rail and civil engineering works.
  • Manage site engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Review design information, raise technical queries, and support value engineering.
  • Monitor progress, prepare reports, and support commercial/contract administration.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, clients, and the supply chain.

The successful applicant for this role will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer role within rail, civils, or infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of site management, temporary works, and project delivery processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Confident in technical problem-solving with a proactive approach to site challenges.
  • Knowledge of rail standards and safety requirements is desirable.
