SEN School Meals Supervisory assistant (SMSA)

An exciting opportunity to work as a SEN SMSA has arisen at Hannah More Primary. The role will include 1:1 lunchtime support, but also support with transition into class, making it the perfect stepping stone for those interested in pursuing a career as a Teaching Assistant.
7.5 hours per week, term-time only. (Monday to Friday 11:45am-1:15pm)
BG3 £24,413 Pro Rata. This gives an actual starting salary of £4,032.19 p/a.
Job Role
As a SEN SMSA you will be working 1:1 to support some of our most vulnerable learners to eat their lunch and access the playground safely before supporting them to settle back into their learning in the classroom after lunch. As an inclusive school, we have a wide range of needs including pupils with Autism, attachment difficulties and physical disabilities.
We wish to appoint SMSAs who:
have a passion for working with children with additional needs.
can use initiative and adapt in the moment.
have a want to learn and develop their skills.
are resilient and can pick themselves up when things don’t go to plan.
